CLASS INFORMATION / LEVELS
●Must be a US resident and at least 18 years of age as of the first class.
●Classes may be cancelled without notice due to unforeseen circumstances.

●Introductory Korean (2 Classes)
Introductory Korean (Sec 1) & Introductory Korean (Sec 2) are two sections of the same course. Both sections cover the same content. This course is designed for students who are completely new to Korean or who are not yet comfortable reading and writing Hangeul (Korean alphabet). Students will learn how to combine Korean consonants, vowels, and final consonants to read and write words naturally. The class will also introduce Korean pronunciation rules, basic greetings, everyday expressions, and simple grammar. This course is recommended for true beginners.class. Introductory Korean is for students who cannot yet read or write in Hangeul. Students will learn to put consonants, vowels, and consonant-endings together to read and write with ease. Students will also learn basic phrases and grammar.

●Basic A (2 Classes)
Basic A (Sec 1) and Basic A (Sec 2) are two sections of the same course. Students will learn Korean sentence structures and verb conjugations to introduce themselves, describe people and objects in their immediate environment, and use common shopping expressions. In addition, students will learn both Native Korean and Sino-Korean number systems to read time and prices for shopping contexts.

●Basic B
Our Basic B class is a continuation of the Basic A class. Newcomers who pass the Proficiency Examination for this level are also eligible to take this course, but students must already be comfortable reading and writing in Hangeul. This class introduces a higher level of basic grammar, vocabulary, and language structure, so students can build tools to converse more confidently and become more familiar with the spoken and written Korean language. This class uses interactive exercises to improve conversational skills through grammatical accuracy and situational drills.

●Intermediate A
Intermediate Korean A is the first quarter in the continuation of Basic B class and is designed for students who have completed Basic B or have the equivalent proficiency. The goal of this course is to equip students with intermediate communicative skills in all areas; listening, speaking, reading and writing. Intermediate Korean A will cover lessons 1-12 in the textbook.

●Intermediate B
Intermediate B is a continuation of Intermediate A and is designed for students who have completed Intermediate Korean A or have the equivalent proficiency. Intermediate B will cover 12 lessons in the textbook. We will review some of the grammar patterns learned in Intermediate A as we continue to build vocabulary and learn new grammar patterns. Regular attendance, review, and completion of assignments will help you understand and retain the material.

●Intermediate C
Our Intermediate C course builds on the foundation established in Intermediate B and is intended for students who have completed Intermediate B or possess equivalent proficiency. The course covers 12 lessons from Sejong Korean 3, reinforcing key grammar concepts from Intermediate B while expanding vocabulary and introducing new grammar structures. Consistent attendance, regular review, and timely completion of assignments are essential for mastering and retaining the material.

●Advanced A
This course is a continuation of Intermediate C and designed for students who have completed Intermediate courses at Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles (KCCLA) or have the equivalent proficiency. This course will cover 12 chapters in the textbook as reviewing grammars and vocabularies related to subject assigned for each week. It will focus on speaking as well which takes place in various situations.
